GIMME SOME - Overtone Brewing x Ale & Audio

GIMME SOME is our first ever podcast collaboration beer and has been produced by Overtone Brewing in Glasgow. It is a great way to celebrate over 4 years of a podcast which has grown along with a community of like minded pub shed, home bar owners and beer lovers.

The beer is named after British singer, Brendon's version of Gimme Some, a top 20 hit in 1977. This song is the 2025 Friday podcast anthem which is played after the intro to each episode of the year creating a "Friday Feeling" trigger for listeners. 

The beer is a 6.5% Triple Dry Hopped IPA. Soft, pillowy and juicy, notes of mango & peach.

Podcast host Jimbo and long term collaborator Michael of @PabloDiscoBarUK travelled to Glasgow to brew the beer in November 2024. The beer was then launched at an exclusive first tasting at The Commercial pub in Chapeltown, Sheffield (the local pub to Jimbo near the Ale & Audio pub shed and studio) on Friday 10th January 2025 with over 30 people in attendance, many travelling from different parts of the UK.

The beer is available to purchase from the Overtone Brewing webstore from Monday 20th January 2025.

Ale & Audio does not receive any income from beer or glassware sales. The collaboration beer is about supporting true independents, celebrating our podcast with our community of supporters and collaborators and helping it to grow.

We make around £1.80 per t-shirt sold through T-Shirt studio which will go into the music library fund for the podcast.
