The Song Request Courtroom is the big final act on the full weekly Ale & Audio podcast and is a firm favourite part of our show for many of our listeners.
How does it work
On Sunday mornings Jimbo posts a new "song request theme" in the Ale & Audio instagram page. Listeners then have around 24 hours to make song requests that loosely link to that particular theme. Then one of our Judges, John, Pat or Peggy (or sometimes more than one) will appear on the podcast on the following Friday's episode to give these songs a rating out of 10. The songs that get a 10 get onto the Spotify 10/10 playlist and the person who requested it is inducted into the 10/10 club. But be warned, score less that a 5/10 and you'll "bite the dust"/ "Sniff Pats Drip Tray". Song ratings are subjective so your scores could depend on whichever Judge is in the hot seat! How Do I Get Involved
Make sure you are following @aleandaudio on Instagram and look out for the song request theme post on a Sunday morning. Make your request before 12 lunch time the following morning and your song may feature in the show.
The Song Request Jury (See the form at the bottom of the page)
Every Monday we invite listeners to be part of our "song request jury" and submit your scores out of 10 for each song that has been suggested. These scores form a listener average out of 10 for each song. So even if one of our Judge's has given a low score, the jury may have disagreed!
